Aluminum engine lid
My '72S (early build #027*) has an aluminum engine lid and license plate panel - are these original or retrofitted?
What was the last chassis number Porsche stopped putting an aluminum lid on? Did early build '72S cars get some 2.2S part leftovers? |

Don't know the answer, but start here:
POLL/CENSUS: What's Your Lid? . . .. POLL/CENSUS: What's Your License Panel? . . ..

Pet shows aluminum engine lid through '73, and that's the way I remember it. No serial # or date cutoff shown.
