Motronic Altitude Sensor: Do I need it?

I may be parting out my 86 keeping the motor and supporting parts to plug into the 73. Someone has asked for the altitude sensor.

Do I need to keep this or since I'm always within 100 feet of sea level, does it really matter?

nope, but what happens is a big low pressure weather front moves in?
