How to make car more, simple?

I am trying to make my car look more simple from the insides. Car, as some might remember is a -72T with carbs.

Today I removed all the extra switches from the dash, cigarette lighter, rear defogger (not using it,ever), switch that is meant for the wipers (did not work, no wires). Right now it looks definitevely better, but still I want it to be more simple. What to remove ?? Anything?

On the electrical side, I have nothing extra currently, at least thats what I think, I just want to take all the extras out, and still have running car. Any suggestions?

Currently I am building these panels for the engine compartment, so that nothing electrical shows out when lid is opened. Only the engine and carbs. Well, I try to all move all the wires out of the way so that they are not on top of the engine.

Any harm when moving the coil to somewhere else in the engine bay?

Any harm making the plug wires longer so I could run them from the back of the engine compartment?

I am not making a race car so I want to still keep the interior panels and such But give me ideas, even crazy ones

For the interior: Remove back seats and install RS carpeting & door panels.

Engine compartment: Remove sound deadening. Remove distributer and replace with crankfire and hide plug wires.

"Simple"? I've been accused of being that way.

I do have a simple interior. It still needs a little work........

JPIII - I'm intrigued by the oil lines? that disappear behind the shifter. do they run where the heat-ducts run? Do you happen to have a picture of how they exit in back?

I'm hoping that's not pipe-insulation "padding" on the roll cage. If it is, I hope you never run the car without wearing a helmet...

Dad:
Ayup.....thru the heater duct....got a pic somewhere.

Stephan:
I hope it's not pipe insulation, also.
To forestall the next question, the cage is not PVC pipe, cleverly disguised as steel tubing.

I got off the turnip truck......but not the last one.

JP - I thought your beauty was delphi green metallic? What'd you do, go and paint her yeller or ravenna green or something?

Zendalar;
To answer one of your easier questions - about moving the coil. Go ahead! My car came from the previous owner with the coil attached to a bracket on the left rear engine mount bolt. As long as you can string the wires, there shouldn't be any issues in moving it.
