Have the possibility of getting low-mileage, excellent condition CV axles from an 80 SC (100 mm) for my 80 SC (both of my boots are torn and very high mileage).

Should I match sides (drivers and pass.) ie. driver's side of newer to driver's side of my p-car or are they completely interchangeable?

It doesn't make any difference. Just be sure to inspect the purchased ones for abnormal wear and repack with grease if needed.
