Post oil-temp-sender early 911

Hi all,

Does anyone know if a 912 oil temp sender unit will fit in the place of the 911 one. The reason being I would like to use my 912 oil temp gauge in conjunction with my 69 911T engine but you need to use the 912 temp sender unit as well (something to do with the resistance in the switch).

If this is not possible anyone with an early type (green nb's/letters) 911 temp gauge for sale.

Thanks in advance
Alan

Alan,

According to a couple of catalogs I looked at, the senders for all 911s, '65 thru '89, and the '69 and earlier 912s are the same.
