Spring PLate bushing replacement G50..anyone done it?

Hello.
Getting ready to do the bushing change on the rear spring plates and I'm wondering how far out the torsion bars come into the housing? From a previous thread pic (below) that I posted you can see the length of the housing for my G50, and there is a subtle change in diameter at the tip.
If the TB comes this far out, how am I going to get the spring plate off the TB and out of the vehicle? I know I have to take the blanking disc off the body to allow the tube to come out through it but still....

Does the end of the tube come off for access to the outboard end of the torsion bar or is a case of fiddling with the orientation of the tube until I can get it off and around the TB and off the car?

Thanks in advance for any pointers..

there'a room. no need to pop off the outer disc. the rocker and the hole cover come off, of course. the torsion bar just needs to be all the way in.

So does this end up ruining the gravel guard or whatever that black thick decal is on the side just covering this area?

In short, yes. If your handy you can carefully cut it out.

Its possible to carefully remove the torsion bar covers from the Stone guards. You can glue them together again when you are finished. Worked for me.
