SC "lurkers"....

Of course, I'm getting many requests for SCWDP decals from SC owners I recognize from the BBS.

But what's surprising me, is the large number of orders coming from folks that don't post here.
Are they shy, just preferring to lurk in the shadows?
Or, has Leland set up an elite cadre of 'Special Agents'?

I say, lurkers, show yourselves (and your SC's.)
SC World Domination welcomes you!

I wonder how many people just view, and never post. Show the SCWDP pride!

There is an elite secret order of 3.2 Carrera owners lurking in the shadows, slowly and silently ordering all of your SCWDP stickers and stockpiling them around the globe.

I am not a lurker, but I am a new owner. Picked up this guy on Saturday! It was a bit frosty when I took this picture.

I just Paypal'd Doug for 2 stickers.

Doug,
Thanks, the stickers arrived today. I have posted before, but it had been so long, I had to re-register. I'm more comfortable with Porsche's than computers (& typing). My '83 SC is my second Porsche purchased in '99. My first was a '67 911 bought in '73, which survived my teenage years but not the smog laws. I sold it just before the new legislation was announced. In any case, my '83 is a better car. I really enjoy reading all of the posts on this board.

Best wishes to all,
John

Tom,
I just got your PayPal transfer, and the decals are in the A.M. mail.

How come your lovely SC Targa looks so frosty?
Frost in Texas?
Last time I was riding my motorbike in Texas, I thought I was gonna expire from the heat!!

Doug, that's one thing I've noticed about this board. There are tons of lurkers who do not post...or rarely post. Occasionally, discussion will be quiet, slow, and then an irresistible thread will start and BOOM! A hundred posts.

Doug,

In Dallas, we have it all. 29 Degrees one day, 70 the next. I'll have to fix the AC by summer when it is 100+ so I won't roast in a black car!

Hi Doug,

Hopefully my stickers are winging their way across the atlantic as we speak!

Don't you think it's about time we had a SCWDP world map with little pins showing the location of each member?, might be fun for the website!

Cheers,

Tim.

Tom:

Nice early SC featuring the chrome trim set, dropped shortly after our cars were built. Use that chrome look to your advantage. Chrome trim rings on a set of Bosch H-4s bring the accent to the front of the car, while polished FUCHs look especially good against the trim.

Welcome! How's the Targa top on that beast? Also, tell about what look like factory fog lights?

John

John,
The targa top is in decent shape but the foam and the headliner have fallen. As for the factory foglights, what do you want to know?

I confess...I'm a lurker. I don't post that often. It seems like all my questions have almost always been answered after searching the threads.

Tim,
Yes, your decals were mailed last week.
Lot's of them going to the UK. You should not be surprised to see them on the cars of SCWDP brothers this summer.
Thanks to all our UK members for....
Keeping the SCWDP faith!

Official location?
Well, one 3.2 wag suggested the bottom of ones shoe. Go figure.
There is no "official" location, but I think soon a few members will be posting pics of the decals on their cars. In the meantime, use your imagination.

And you ask: "what should i expect the first couple of weeks after i put this on?"

Oh, how about....more attractive females than you've ever known in your entire life. All asking to ride in your car and wanting to know about the SCWDP. You can thank us later.
