Show Your Porsche Garage Set up

I am getting ready to do a garage overhaul and need some inspiration. I'd like to see everyone's decked out garage with Porsche banners, flags, lights, cars, etc.

Also, what is the best flooring for a garage? The epoxy DIY stuff from lowes or rubber snap together tiles, suggestions?

Post your pics!

There have been a few additional cars added over the summer/fall. It's been a great space to "waste" time......

after seeing the above two garages, there's no way I'm posting any pics of mine. Too embarrassing . . . .

What are you planning on doing in there? Is it going to be a show room or have be a functioning workplace?

Google "Ultimate Garage" and see what you find.

most of those look like showrooms. I aint showing mine...but some serious work happens there.

actually I rebuilt the engine and installed a new gas tank in this garage.

but thanks for saying it looks like a showroom!

In my case, the cars were in various storage units that were not condusive to doing anything except very basic stuff on days with decent weather. Nothing that needed to get done was getting done – at least in any sort of reasonable time. Usually I had to move cars around/take one back to the house to do anything substantial.
We came across this space that would hold everything (plus a few more) and allow the work to be done. That back wall (behind the lift where those flags are hanging) now has the two main work benches, blast cabinet, compressor, parts washer, etc, etc.. The space is fully functional in every aspect – but yes, it kept as clean as possible (the floor is a God send). It has been a huge time savings. As we all know, a project is never done. If I get stuck on a project waiting for parts/etc, I have been able to move on to the next car.
The best part is that the space is very well hidden (off the street) and there is great circular road that gets very limited use where we can exercise things as needed.

Scott, can you give me a little insight on what kind of building you are in---warehouse area or ? I'm in Littleton and really need heated shop for storage and antique boat restoration. So far I have not been able to turn anything up close to the house.

Well, Scott, I'm super impressed. You'll probably never need an extra pair of hands, but if you do, let me know. At some point I'm going to rebuild my engine and am looking to get experience and knowledge by assisting others prior to delving in myself.

j8tg -
it was a hassle - same situation that you are experiencing. There were some instances where the perfect location/set up was thought to have been found, only to be told that the building owner would not allow automotive repairs to be done.. I live way up north in Broomfield. The shop is located in south Denver (I-25 and Evans area). My folks had recently moved down into Denver from the foothills. We were out and about one afternoon looking for something (A Home Depot maybe?) and saw the for rent sign. The place was a wreck. But after pulling down walls, cleaning everything out, then adding the floor and some new paint, it came out pretty nice. There are 6 or so units in the building. It is one of those stacked/slab concrete deals. I dont know littleton all that well (except for the old town area). Unfortunately the only advice I can give is to drive around the commercial areas close to you and see whats out there/look for signs.

Winter -
All are always welcome. I try and get down there at least one night a week. This past summer it was very common for various pals to come hang out. That is part of the fun of doing this for me.
I am confident that you wil learn nothing but bad habits/hack job repairs from me. Without this web site, as well as a few others, chances are nothing down there would run at all. I am great at ripping stuff apart however.........;)

Cool! I'll touch base when things warm up. Stuck up in the mountains for the winter. Probably won't appear until all this snow melts, sometime in July. . . .

2 car garage with raised ceilings and a 450 sq ft attached clean room shop next to it behind the 1" thick glass with double door access. Definitely a working garage. I have built 3 cars in this puppy so far and working on the revamp of car #2.

New garage

I don't have the cars moved in yet, but they will show up as soon as I finish the workbench along the left wall.

This is my working garage. The "regular" garage it is parked in isn't all that impressive either! :)
