Alternator Air Guide Needed
When replacing my alternator I found that the plastic air guide is missing on my 911SC. I figured that it might be a superfluous part but was informed that I am risking some engine heat problems, though living out in the country I never get into stop and go traffic.
Does anyone know where I could find one? Thanks very much in advance, Rob '83 911SC |
You might move this to the classifieds as a WTB (Want to Buy).
Also, there are a lot of Porsche salvage yards that people recommend. I don't know the names of all of them, but if you search here on the board, you'll be able to find them. DC Automotive and Parts Heaven are two that I can recall.... Good luck! |
I saw this one on flea bay. It's not mine, nor do I know the person. I just happened to see it.

Hi Rob,
just saw this - I replied late to your previous thread- "official" name is housing-, fan-, or hub- extension. Pelican has a new one for my '87 for ~95 bucks. But I'd go the used route myself too. |
These things tend to get brittle around the bolt holes so I wouldn't hesitate to get a new if affordable. Right or wrong, I don't use one on my race car.

I can supply a nice used one if needed.
