Jack Pad bar- is it just 7/8" key stock?

I want to try and rig up something to support my car, having slightly longer length than the regular jack pads, and a different flat surface. Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the pad rod?

Thanks
SoS

Have you just tried turning the pad upside-down and jacking on the bar, not the plate?

I do, it fits the fixture cup on the top of my jack perfectly; it isn't the big flat plate surface that could slide off the jack if there's a lateral load.

I would also like to know what size the bar is (without going out in the -20 garage and pulling the plug out of the side of my car)

..it's EXACTLY 1/32" under 7/8" square. Makes it fit in the hole in the summertime, I reckon. But there you go. You are welcome. I still think you should buy one from our host, though. And they should send me my coffee mug, damn it...............BTW, 50 degrees out there, very comfy. Car is happy. Beer break now.............
Oh, and I'm awaiting my OWN latest order from PelicanParts!
