Targa Top Adjustment?

I've looked around a bit and can't seem to find an answer to my question(s), so here goes:

First of all, is it possible to adjust the position of the top's rear locating pins? I ask because the rear of the top sits just a bit proud of the Targa bar. In the interests of fewer squeaks and rattles, and a bit less wind noise, I'd like to have it fit more tightly. I'm talkin' about these pins here - I've loosened the Allen bolt and given the pin a whack with a soft hammer, but found no movement.

Secondly, I have noticed references (at least I think I have) to adjusting the top's side seals. Yet when I inspect the top, I do not see any way to adjust them. Have I been hallucinating, or can one really adjust the position of these things?

Thanks in advance - 5String

To be honest it looks like you´ve lost the plastic covers that fit on the Pins. They may have something to do with your allignment issues.

Right, the pins do not have plastic covers. I was unaware that they supposed to have 'em.

As for the manual, I very much appreciate the offer, Warner. But I've got a copy of that and do not see specific answers to my questions therein.

Where can you get the plastic covers for the pins?

Did you take that black cover off of there? The one with the two small screws? Once you do I believe you will find two more allens that need loosening.

I tried it on mine, was able to get a LITTLE bit of movement, but I was just using my hands. I didn't want to risk breaking that pin.

I believe those plastic covers are available via pelican. Hell, isn't everything else? Hehe

Oh, and the correct fit of the top is that the front fits slightly below the windshield frame and the rear sits slightly above the leading edge of the targa frame, otherwise you'll increase wind noise.

just a tip. Then cover are a real pain to get on the pin. Use grease on the pins and i actually had to use a gas burner to heat up the cover a little to expand them. That and a pair of gloves and you are ready to go

Great stuff! Thanks, gents. I've ordered the pin covers, and will take a look under the little black sheetmetal covers to see what can be done.
