Question AAV anyone? just tell me what that stands for I'll do the rest...

Bill where are ya... you know what I need to do . but your not logged on!!!! AAUUGGHH

I believe he was referring to the Aux. Air Regulator (or Valve). It's located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.


At cold start it lets in more air which increases idle speed. Once warnm it shuts and idle returns to norm.. If I recall in an earlier post you said your car idled higher than 1500 and when warm came back down to 1500 which is still high. Doesn't sound like your AAR ( AAV ), but it doesn't hurt to check.

The attached link is a diagram of your CIS system. The AAV is part Number 36 on the diagram. The long slender portion pointing left on the diagram will not be visable to you when you look in the engine bay. You will however be able to see the rest. My wife has the digital at the moment or I would snap a picture for you.

Man Thanks Jeff,
i have the lid open outside waiting for some help so I can run out there and try to sort this problem out .. and as soon as i do i headed out to Drive ofr a few hrs hell I'm going driving even if i don't fix it today.. as it is Beautiful here today in Dayton ohio.. Jeff thanks agin brother..
