My dirty valves PIC

Ok here is a pic of my DIRTY valve. This is an exhaust valve. They were dirty like this last year when I pulled the engine. I ran a bottle of Techron through in the spring, but this is what they look like now??????

What do you think I should do? It ran real strong like this.

Shawn,
There is a similar post nearby about this. Warren and John have commented.

I don't know if Techron is really intended to rid the exhaust tract of hard carbon, as it is the intake and fuel system of varnish etc. It will take carbon out of the combustion chamber if used in sufficient doses. That carbon on your motor's exhaust valve looks pretty tough. Is oil being burnt in that cylinder?

Doug all my valves look this bad, but the car ran great (or as great as it always has??) I just was wondering how I might be able to fix it, without a top end job or full rebuild. Could it be my valve guides are going (gone) I have no idea what causes this?

Porsche Crest coking?

It looks like coking. Things get pretty hot on the exhaust side.

Can't really tell, but is that carbon build up, or burned oil in there?

Spark Plugs

Spark Plugs are
NGK BP&E S
They are alll the same according to my Haynes manual pics they are all pretty good. Maybe a bit on the dark side (oil deposits) but not coated as the book says. I had no problem with starting (once I replaced the check valve) and the engine wasn't misfiring or hesitating as far as I could tell.

Thanks

Leland I have the engine out because it is winter so I am fixing every damn thing that I can think of that will leak. And plus its fun to take out and play . I also have my comlete interior stripped and am changing it all to black as you saw in the door panel pics.

Stay safe over there and hurry home

Shawn
