HF Engine Stand?

Does anyone have any experience using a Harbor Freight engine stand?

I'm guessing that an adapter would be necessary to hold/support an engine.

I don't want to buy a piece of junk that won't work well.

Thanks for your thoughts/comments.

I have one in the garage right now. It has been holding a complete 6 cyl. BMW engine for the last 5 years. No issues at all.

Look in the paper for the 20% discount coupon.

The stands are fine. You'd be better off getting the correct adapter for the Porsche engine. Using the stock arms is a crap shoot. Even then, you have to do some movement/shuffling to get the HEs off and tin.

I got the HF stand no problems.

Also got an adapter from evilbay for 70 bucks CNC machined from Cali (what they said).

Works!

Is that the 1000# or 750# version? The 750# one goes on sale for $35 next week...

1000#

My only recommendation is buy the one with 2 legs so your jack can scoot right in the middle.
