I'm planning on going down Friday & coming home after the race on Sunday. Last year I took my daily driver Honda CR-V. This year I'm taking the 911!

I'm a big fan of the Flying Lizard Porsches, and of Pat Long in particular, and I was stunned to see that they're running a RILEY PORSCHE DP as #45 at Daytona this year - going for the overall win. I'd love to see them take it! I also read that Hurley Haywood is coming out of retirement to drive ONE MORE Daytona 24.

Last year we had a Pelican meet-up somewhere on Friday night, and that was great - shall we try it again this year?

We also tried to arrange some onsite live streaming video via UStream, but that was rather a bust. However, I will bring all of the same technology & set up the UStream channel again in case there is any interest in doing that (Hellew, Grady!).

Hopefully Grassroots Motorsports ticket packages are still available. Their 4-day ticket deal includes access to their hospitality area (huge tent with catered meals & snacks, and many big screen TVs), infield car corral parking, some guest speakers & a garage tour. It was a fantastic base of operations last year.

So - which of you Pelicans might I see at Daytona this year?

I''l be there... I'm driving in the Continental Sports Car race Thursday /Friday in the #86 Porsche Boxster in the ST Class. Look me up and I'll give you the .05 tour of the car, or anybody else who's around. The PCA Region in the area always does a great job getting everybody together at the Rolex 24. P.S... I'll give Pat a call to see if we can get him involved too with a meet and greet type of deal. Schedules get pretty busy if your driving from Wednesday afternoon on (team stuff, drivers meetings, etc...) Let me know.

Yeaaa! The racing season starts anew! Now all I have to do is to hang on by my fangernails until the F1 season starts. March seems a long way off.

I'll be there for testing this weekend and then again for the race. I am going with my friend Michael who owns Prospeed. A number of teams are testing with his brake fluid RS683. This will be the first Datona 24 for me, I'm looking forward to it. I would be up for a GTG.

We will be there as part of the Bullet Racing effort again in the 997 cup. I will post the car number we are assigned as soon as I get it. I should be down a few days early this year but will be spending the majoritly of the race up in the tower on the radio again I think.

Sold out! Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooo! In the "words" of Lucy...

Well....last year the workers got some comped GRM tickets - maybe I need to show up with my whites & do a little work! The GRM corral was my favorite place to be when I wasn't working or watching. Great collection of cars & people. DRATS DRATS DRATS.
