Are these Fuchs polished, anodized, what?
Are these Fuchs wheels polished or anodized? I believe they were re-finshed by Weidman at some point by a PO.
I want to get some water spots off of them, but I am not sure if I should use Vaseline, Mother's, NeverDull or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! CATTMAN http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1296852449.jpg |
Those are definitely polished. Make sure there's no clear spayed on it and then use whatever you want!

Not anodized, they look polished or (hopefully not) chromed. My guess is polished. Take a little metal polish on a white rag and lightly rub a spot. If they are polished, you'll see black on the rag very quickly. If they are chromed, the rag will stay clean no matter how much you polish.

How do I determine if they are clear-coated or just raw polished?

The rims are polished. I would suggest that you use P21S to clean them. I think it's available from our host.

Try uses a light polishing compound on them. It may cut thru any clear coat but I think you want to get them brighter, right? They look to be w/o any clear on them. Vaseline works on anodized which is a duller than clear coat protectant. |
