Guidance on Jack and Lift Points

I have Bill V's jack point picture but am struggling with the front jack point locations because of the lines that run in that area. Is it like this in front of the lines? I am worried about crushing the ridge.

Or like this behind the lines? Which doesn't seem to be what is indicated on the chart

I think I have the rear point sorted out:

The car in a 1983 SC. Thanks for your help.

Rob

I've jacked up my Carrera on the "ridge" where the chassis pieces have a seam there that "curls up" toward the front wihtout any problem. I have not found the supposed "jack point" just inside the rocker panel. I guess it's just the "flat area" there, where the flat part of the tub ends?!? I'd like to see more than just that old diagram with all the arrows which is vague at best.....
BTW, that "ridge" is a bit nicked up, not that I really care, but seems to be rigid as Hell....

Why not lift at the "square" sections with the hole in the bottom. These are just to the rear of the front tires and just below and inboard of the torsion bar tube in rear.

I believe these are the factory lift points. Sorry I have no pictures to show. Perhaps someone can provide an image.
