1978 3.0 to 1986 3.2 what parts do i need for the change

what all part do need when i change engine on my 1978 3.0 to 1986 3.2.
am i paying to much for a good running engine that has been rebuilt and has 20,000.miles asking$7,000. or can someone out there rebuilt my 3.0 with 3 broken head studs and 140,000 miles for same price?

I WILL DO THAT! Head studs are how much? even a complete set of ARP's are 6-7 hundred, gasket set and bearings, grand, cleaning and checking 0 dollars, new clutch kit $1100 (or less). I'll pocket the rest...

You can rebuild your 3.0 with the good stuff for $1600 bucks as long as nothing else is out of tolerance. Don't give up on that motor unless you want a increase in SHP. Just a rebuild, DIY and save.

I live in Madison Wisconsin . i would rather have someone with some skills do it right the first time {looking to up the hp}.any takers. if so what are ur location.

Dude, my location is right over there under my name (on the left). You get very little HP increase for the cash you have. Mostly just rebuliding what you have. If you want to talk increasing the HP, then contact a independent Porsche mechanic around Madison, WI.
