Post Anyone knows this badge?

I have found this badge at an autojumble, and I really have no clue as to its age. Anyone??
It seems like a badge given to the owner as his car goes over 100'000 Kms, but I have never seen it before, not even in books. It is enamel over brass I think. I wonder if it is correct for my '73 car..
TIA, GeorgeK

Now, why isn't that pic here??

Hope you eventually get the pic, George. But I have read of such badges. If memory serves, they come from the early 356 days. Perhaps VW did the same thing? But, I'm sure there are 356 phreaks out there who would know. Might make a post on their BB, see what you get in the way of reactions...

The late British motor journalist, Dennis Jenkinson, put a lot of miles on his 356. I recall him writing about getting a few of these award badges from the Factory.
