I just wanted to thank Roland Kunz for bringing the Ebay scam artist to the attention of the board members and the aggressive way the members went after this idiot. I just sat back and admired the responses and the fact that action was taken rather than just complaining. I think this proactive attribute is missing from the general public but is something that makes Porsche owners Porsche owners. I would have loved to see the look on this guy's face. I'm sure he never knew what hit him. Although there can be no way to understand an idiot, I really think he will pick a manufacturer other than Porsche to try to scam next time. Vigilance obviously makes a big difference. You guys probably saved someone out there quite a bit of money. Ebay and Yahoo are in your debt. Good Work!!

Roland and many others here have a good record of exposing E-Bay bull****.
A good little victory was won recently against a dealer offering a "Factory Spec" 2.7 RS replica that was nothing of the kind... After a bunch of e-mails and hostile comment from members of this board the guy withdrew the car from sale before the auction was complete. Its not clear if he did this himself or E-bay forced him. See the "Wild Ebay Claims: "Factory Spec" 2.7 RS" topic for details. - roGER |
