Converting my RSR tail lights to LED
OK.....so I ordered a crapload of 5mm LED bulbs and plastic holders. (appoligies to Slim Pickens):D
I'm gonna pull the incandescent bulbs and wire these puppies in. I replace the bases with flat PVC stock with metal tabs for the screws to hold down the lenses. I just a picked up a nice Weller soldering station off of evilBay. If there is anyone that has experience on wiring these I would appreciate you expertise. PM, email or post on here. The Solid red lens, will have the running light and brake light. The brake will have double the running light LEDs. Since brake and running lights are on the same circuit. I could use some help on resistors and such. The current red/amber lens will be replaced with an amber clear lens. I will wire the blinker and reverse light here. Same question.....resistor and suggestion for the amount of bulbs to use. The LEDS are 5mm, 3.4v units. If you don't know what the Hella RSR tail lights look like....I'll post a pic later. |
Do you mean 911 "R" lights?

I posted on the other thread that I used pre-made LED lights sourced from a truck supply company

yeah...'R"....
Any suggestions on how many bulbs to use to approximate the incandescents + a bit? |
