1972 911T Oil Hoses
Still plugging away on my barn find. Car runs great, I haven't even done the plugs yet. My questions of the day are: Would you replace the oil lines on the car since it sat for 25 years? I don't have leaks but they sure look gross. Also would you remove the exhaust and heat exchangers and have them recoated? They seem to be in ok shape but have surface rust on them. Thanks!

Working with the owner of a 72, we took the old lines and the factory connections and with new hose replaced all the oil lines
It was a challenge… Bruce |

Yes to the replacement of the oil lines and reuse the original hose clips if they are solid bands. If they are slotted bands like most new ones, toss them, they shouldn't be used on an oil line.
Can't speak to finishing the exchangers
