Center counsel delete

Hey gang, Starting the planing stage of my interior update, well backdate actually. Taking the car back a few years so I would like to remove the center counsel. I would love to see what others have done. Where did you go with the AC/ central locking, hazard and alike? I have done an AC delete, but may keep the front blower. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing I saved from mine, was the AC fan knob. I relocated it in a factory "blank" spot just right of the steering column on the dash.

Cole, very nice. Not sure when central locking systems came into play, but what did you do with inards of the counsel?

Anyone else out there? We got a lot of lookers with little answers, has to be somebody who's done this and documented it.

When I pulled my console out, I also ashcanned the A/C. I would suggest a small pod under the dash near the ash tray and put whatever you need in that.

Thanks for the kind words it's always nice to know others can appreciate your baby.

My car is an 80 ROW 930 so it had the old alarm but no central locking. I tore it all out and installed factory 86 door solenoids and aftermarket keyless entry/alarm. One of the best updates I ever did.

Center Auto Heat pitched it (damn things never worked anyway) I'll be tying in some electric heat soon. I just finished installing water/meth injection and needed to see how much trunk space I have left before installing the heat.

FADER !!!!! We don't need no stinking radio !!! This thing has factory 934 headers and a 3" Zork; no way your ever going to hear a radio. In place of the radio I put in a radio delete plate and installed 3 aux power switches and a AFR display. I run the water/ meth with one switch, an Innovate LM1 with one, and the third is for the electric heat.

I pitched the puny AC a long time ago, every time I would lite the car up I would shred the AC belt anyway.

I've done a lot of weight reduction, hence the Spartan interior, Also changed out the mirrors and door handles for 993, added composite front and rear bumpers. I made new aero composite rockers, and dug out an old AIR 935DP tail.

I don't have pics, but I did a radio delete, and moved the AC controls up into the delete plate. I also sourced a small digital clock that fits there as well. So, my AC controls are actually within reach now, and I have a nice clock to boot.

The AC Fader knob went in the trash. The wires were terminated with some tape, and tucked under the dash.

Thanks guys, looks as I thought manufacture something under the dash for placement of hazard and fan blower. I was planning on removing the central locking system anyway.
