Hey guys, I've got a problem with my Porsche. When I bought it from a friend, it came with a Bury bluetooth connector installed - if you're not familiar with these, the cradle doesnt hold the phone, instead it holds a remote which connects into the stereo so you can just put the phone anywhere. Anyway, there's something going wrong - possibly in more than one place. We've had a guy come out to fix it, and he did, but that lasted for a matter of 30 mins or so.
When enterting the car and turning the ignition, the bluetooth connector fires up and finds the phone pretty quickly. The stereo acknowledges this with a bleep, and when making a call from the phone the CD stops and the screen shows PHONE as it should - however, there is no sound. When checking the manual I found the option to change the user setting by holding the Menu button on the stereo, clicking the right dial until I find mute and then turning so it says AUDIO - which worked, brilliant, thought that was it. Even after turning the ignition off and starting the car up again the connection was still there and it seemed to be sorted. However, after spending 30 mins in the supermarket the stereo was muted again and had to go through the settings again to unmute it. Then on the drive home the bluetooth seemed to drop for a while before jumping back in to play some audio from the satnav (on the phone) and then drop again. No idea if it's the bluetooth or the stereo or both that's causing it to act this way but I'd really like to know if there's a fix. Maybe I have to save the user1 settings in the menu - I'll give it a try later. I also noticed that when changing the setting DRIVER R to DRIVER L it went to the wrong side of the car - so it's wired up wrong in one way or another lol Just to clarify I have a 2002 model of the 911 and I'm in the UK, if that makes any difference. Anyway, cheers for listening and I look forward to hearing back from you Reno |
