Is there a rear valance available for early rear bumpers?

I'd like to cover the exposed exhaust on the rear....the 993 HEs hang low and does the Y pipe and cat. SO....anyone know who makes a lower valance?

I hear there was a 69-73 grill that would work.

Thanks.

There is an aluminum rear valance for early cars, but it would never cover up that exhaust.

Mr. Scooter is correct - and furthermore, it would look completely wrong with your car. If you don't want your exhaust so visible, have it painted/powder coated flat black.

I also like the "drain-pipe school of thought" for the exhaust pipe. You could always paint it all black.I agree it looks a little unbalanced.

There is a 996 running around my neighborhood with a black metal mesh like on a Ferrari 460 for the lower valence...looks nice,,,,might not fit your 70s era though.

Do you run 1" spacers on your engine crossbar? If so removing them (or using a shorter spacers) will pull the engine/exhaust higher up in the car making the exhaust less noticeable.

In order to do this though you may need to mod the rear package shelf to provide clearance as well as relocate the tailpipe.

I've been wondering if I'm the only guy with an early car that thinks muffler skirts and fender trim are BFU.
