Dealing with Paint Bubbles

What is the best way of dealing with small (1-2mm) bubbles in the repainted finish?

In detailing my 1978SC I have discovered three spots where the repaint done to it is bubbled. I have looked long and hard and felt around all sorts of spots and I do not think it is rust, but the the repaint bubbled.

My gut tells me I likely will need to sand them down and repaint, but I want to hold off until I am ready to do a whole car repaint in the same chocolate brown it came in.

If they are bubbles and not paint over something don't do anything as it's either primer that was contaminated or rust under it. Pictures?

Where are the spots located? Is the car repainted in the original color?

When I hear "paint bubble" I am picturing paint that has pulled away from the surface and there is a pocket of air/rust between the paint and the surface.

If that's what you have, leave it alone or be prepared for paint/body work.

On the other hand, if you have a little contamination, a fish-eye or a best of all, a drip - that you can fix or at least visibly reduce.

So which is it? A pic or two if you're not sure - we'll try to help you out.
