Another "Oil light on!" 87 Carrera

Hi all,
I searched old threads but couldn't find an absolute answer.
I recently finished an engine refresh and reseal and it definitely gave me a sense of accomplishment. However I have a problem with the oil light coming on when the engine is warmed up at idle. The light goes off when engine speed increases and comes back on again at idle. Again, it only does it when it's warm. Analog needle is normal. Brad Penn 20W50. Prior to engine removal, I did not have a problem. During the refresh I replaced the switch on the top of the engine with the red colored one purchased from our host. Has there been a problem with these switches? Should I do a partial engine drop and try a new switch?
TIA

Here's some before/after pics for fun:

If you still have the old switch, you could try that. The owners manual says it's ok for the light to be on at idle, but I don't like it. Adding cam line restrictors (search for it) will raise your idle oil pressure, perhaps enough to keep the light off.

Wow I never noticed that in the owner's manual. I'll go with the restrictors because I too don't like this light being on at idle. Thanks for the tip.

In Europe, we do have some issues with crappy oil pressure switches...

I would try to get a new switch from Porsche. The few €$ĄŁ it costs should be worth the try

When you do the restrictors remember to order 6 of the sealing washers. On each side you need one under the restrictor and one on both sides of the cam line banjo.
Oh and it will make a sizable jump in the idle pressure.
