Big Red Keychain... where to get one?
1 Attachment(s)
Where can I buy more of these Big Red keychains? I got this one at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen. I emailed them to see if I could order more for gifts and they said no. Can I get these in the US? Thanks.

This is made by AutoArt, and we have them on our site:

Close, but no cigar. I don't want AutoArt painted on there -- Porsche is what it's supposed to be.
|
Boy Wayne, look at the ridge on that thing.
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...r_keychain.JPG It needs to be turned, and it might be under spec! |
Smells like one of those trademark issues to me...

I have two on order from Performance Products. They are back ordered and will be in later this week, according to my "order status" email.
I don't know if they are the AutoArt or Porsche pieces, though... Dean |
Whoa thats cool I want one.
|
I believe the ones from Performance Products are the AutoArt ones as well. At least thats what i remember seeing in the advertisement they had. Anyone have one of those coilover/pen keychains? They look pretty cool as well.
|
Guilty here - I have both and they are both autoart pieces. The coilover keychain is kinda big, but it unscrews and has a small ball point pen. I'm a sucker for a 20% off sale...

Was Yours $100????
Hey Richard -
I just noticed these keychains on eBay. The seller says they came from the factory in Germany... How much was your when you got it? (I'm assuming not quite $100) Regards, Andrew M |
The key fob I use for my '72? A '72 Porsche calendar coin. Trivia ? with no prize? What's on the face of the coin? Man...talk about getting esoteric!
|
|
Doug? You must not get it! You see, a $100 key chain fob fits right in with a $400 carbon fiber gearshift knob. Combined, they add at least 30 horsepower....and fit right in with any late 80's Turbo....or Turbo look...or boxter, or...

Actually, it cost around $5 at the factory museum. The guy from eBay is insane, but not as insane as anyone who pay that much for it. I just want a few to give as gifts to a few Pelican heads who have sent me free stuff. The factory museum won't ship them and I didn't know they were unavailable in the US when I was as the factory last month. Otherwise, I would have loaded up on them. That eBay price is just mind-boggling. I have friends in Germany who drive to Stuttgart for me for much less than that much.
|
I think I will make a full sized one! I believe it will cure my damn key losing problem.
|
Wow, the authentic one's look great! I would really like to pick up a couple of those for myself as well. If anyone has any leads on getting the rea Porsche one's, please post up and/or email me at: bluebomber86_911@yahoo.com
Thanks! -T:cool: |
There are actually two bids on the on eBay keychain. Some people really have more dollars than sense. Looks like I should just buy another flight to Germany. Selling 5 or 6 of the keychains would pay for the trip.
