Toe In Adjustment
Hello -
I have an older spring plate from 1972, so I'm pretty sure its the one with no up and down adjustment like in the later SC models. I know that the bolt closest to the torsion plate adjusts camber and the one next to it adjusts toe, but what orientation of these bolts makes what adjustment? Which direction do they have to move for toe out, toe in, etc? Thanks in advance! |

Toe and Camber bolts........
Quote:
leadrsa, You got it backward. Here is a picture of the spring plates to help you understand the correct bolt locations. ![]() The adjustment bolts (camber and toe) have a cam shaped configuration or eccentric (see pic). The adjusting bolts use allen wrench (12 mm) for SC's and Carrera. Not sure for your early car ('72). If you look very closely at the picture (below), I have put a marker opposite the cam (lobe) in order to visualize the position of the cam during alignment. ![]() Tony |

Thanks Tony this is really helpful!
What position of the cam makes the toe/camber in or out though? The pictures are very helpful by the way! |
