Wiper arm question

Does anyone know where I can get the round black bezels that cover the windshield wiper arm nuts? I replaced my wiper arms and when I went to remove these in order to wipe off some residue, they literally crumbled.

I got mine at my local dealer - they were something like $3.95 apiece - cheaper than a set on eBay last week:

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately, I don't have a Porsche dealership close by. I'll keep looking on ebay and I'll make a few calls.

I have two new ones in the Porsche packaging that I do not need.

They are virtually impossible to pull from an existing arm without damage. There are two versions that I am aware of: one with a cutout that lets you feather it under the sideplates and snug it down. The second type has simply two holes through which the arm rivet goes: these cannot be removed without breaking them or drilling out the rivet.

I would be happy to get these to you. I am off this board for the weekend so expect a reply no sooner than Monday.

I use Stoddard for all the little parts that Pelican does not list. Pay the $5 for their excellent catalog and you get a credit of $5 on your first order. Great service, prices are available on the web (just type in the part #), and I am amazed at what they have in stock.

Can I ask where you found the wiper arms for your Targa? I've looked all over the 'net (including Pelican), to no avail.

Mine are very pitted . . . and not so black anymore. I'd love to replace them (and this thread taught me where to find the caps for the job!).

Cheers!

Here's the cap part #'s 1976- 1989

OE Arms 928.628.623.00
Replacement Arms 928.628.623.01.01C

Jdub, mine fit like yours, poorly. I wonder if we have the wrong ones ?

Thanks for the responses guys. I have been using Performance Products for a while, but I have noticed that a lot (not all) of their prices are high. I will start using Pelican Parts in the future. I will take you up on that offer jdub. The bezels that I need have the holes in the center and simply fit over the wiper arm nut. Thanks again to all. What a great site!SmileWavy

Steve,

I think he needs the the cap for the wiper arm, not for the motor bolt. Contrary to the Ebay sale, they are not hard to get, actually just the opposite, they are quite easy to get. I recently got a pair from Protosport in NJ. Just drove up there at lunch and picked them up....didn't have to pay shipping. I think I paid like $3-4 for the pair of them. Our Ebay winner is paying more than retail for easy parts.

The wiper arm caps are about $4 each (Perf Products has them, Wayne probably does also, just ask!)

That link on ebay shows exactly what I need. I purchased new arms and the caps for these, but the bezels (caps) that cover the large nut is what I need now. These fit below the wiper arms. Perf Products doesn't carry them and I have been unable to find them here at this site.

I am sorry: the items I have are not the ones shown in Ebay.

OK, so that is what you need: Got mine from Protosport in NJ no problem....even came in the Porsche parts baggie.
