Converted Sporto engine

Pros and cons of an upgraded Sporto engine to 5 speed with carerra chain tensioners eleven blade fan and the heavy duty transmission. Engine is very fast off the start and wants to cruise. The engine seams very tight with no leaks. I was just wondering opinions of this type of engine. Here's the background of the Porsche....It is a 1977 Porsche Targa with a what appears to be a 74 Sporto engine in it (engine # 6349221) that has been converted. The car is great and the engine seams great. Just curious and as to the value of such car. Thanks for any info.....Tep

Nothing wrong with a sporto motor.....they actually are in better shape when bought used. I have a 3.6 sporto in my SC with a 915 tranny....
