K&N filter on mfi
About a year ago when i started ripping apart my car I bought a K&N filter for my 72 mfi. I threw away the old paper element one. Since it was a long time since I started and ran the car, I didn't get a chance to compare the two. Is the K&N less restrictive on an mfi engine? Anybody running this filter? What are the mfi guys out there running. Should I just stick with the K&N or is the paper element better?
Thanks all |

I sincerely doubt you'll notice any performance improvement. Also, you may be giving up a wee bit in the size of particles removed by the filter.

Although there are ways to mount a pair of K&N's or ITG air filters on the later plastic stacks, the engine makes more power (on the dyno) with the stock plastic air cleaner housing, sans preheat assembly and rubber tube, and a new paper element.

I humbly suggest trying the "search" button above...
