Seat Belt Bolt Torque?
I'm replacing my worn out drivers side seat belt. I can't find anything other than a generic torque spec for the bolt torque. Does anyone know?
They are 17mm bolts so I guess they fall in the M10 catagory. They are Class 8.8. My Bentley Manual chart says 47 ft-lbs. Should I use that?

I would go with what's in the Bentley. It's not like it's part of the engine, were the torque value can be critical.

FWIW.... ALL seatbelt bolts for ALL cars of ALL countries... are US spec 7/16"-20 fine pitch thread, and not metric.
Grade 5 ( US basis) should be OK.....which closely matches Euro "Stength class " 8.8 Don't use similar looking 11 mm or such as it will turn-in 4 turns and give you a terrible cross-thread. Porsche's 7/16-20's may have 17mm heads...or close US equivalent to that. Get the proper Porsche bolt,as opposed to a standard hardware bolt, as it is a "shouldered" design, that allows the belt metal mount to rotate and not bind as the bolt it tightened to the chassis.
