Just wanted to show some progress.

Thanks guys for being so supportive... without this forum I wouldn't have been able to get as far as I did. Let me know what you guys think so far. Tomorrow the interior starts and the 19th the car gets shipped out to have the new motor and tranny installed.

Targa slant nose with boxed rockers? Gills maybe? Hmmm....I like it. IIRC on a cover of a late 80's Panorama, there was a black factory targa slant nose. I fell in love with it. Yes, more details please, it looks good so far.

The car is a 1978 converted to a 87 slant nose. The po did the conversion and painted the car a horrible gun metal. I had the car media blasted and painted 2011 Carrera white. The interior will be black and red leather. Every Bolt on the car was sent out for plating and all exterior metals are powder coated. If you look at my garage you can see a before pic. Oh and yes the car is all steel.

Your car is going to be quite a looker when it's completed, especially all parts being metal ...
Keep us posted !

Cheers !

white is not my fav but the Carrera white is a real looker with class

bigfishassasin 03-07-2011 06:51 AM

It kept me up at night trying to choose the right color. In the end white is the best color choice due to it's ability to hide flaws. I just can't see spending another 15,000 on paint.

Pretty ccol. what all have you done? Any before pics?
