Shop Recommendations in WA
I want to get my 75 911s Targa lowered to EU spec, get it checked to conform for PCA DE events & some basics like fixing the speedo...
Several Porsche specialists in Seattle and one or two on the 'eastside' What are your experiences and recomendations for where to get this done many thanks ![]() |

Walker's Workshop.
John Walker's Workshop for certain - John knows the 911 through and through. Truline would probably be his recommendation for the post-lowering alignment.

I am very active volunteer for the PNWR PCA skills days and do as many DE's as my wallet can handle... hope to meet up with you - great loking car, cool pic with the kiddo!!
BTW - send your speedo off to North Hollywood Speedo's - $130 and it comes back like new!! - its easy DIY task and I can offer a hand if you need it OH - and Byron at Truline is the alignment GAWD!!! (Bellevue branch) Last edited by ivangene; 03-06-2011 at 05:07 PM.. |

with the speedo not sure if its the cable or the speedo itself. Had been showing at +10mph and then just packed up, odo not working either. Should I assume its the speedo? ![]() looking at past owner history speedo cable was replaced 5 yrs ago And I pressume N.Hollywood refurb all gauges likes clock as well?? thx |

RE odometer...
any chance you reset it while the car was moving... sure fire way to blow the gear. You can google NHS and get a number to call them, they can anwser the clock Q better than I...great to deal with and if you search here you will find nothing but happy customers.... mine is electronic, i dont know about the cables, you can ask them and when you pull it out maybe drive with just the cabel pointing out and see it its turning? It is safe to drive without speedo in cars like mine, pretty sure its fine in early cars too.. a heads up - a LOT of COLD air comes thru that hole, make a plug if you plan to drive while its out |

I will put in a plug here for Redmond European. I take my SC there and they do great work. Always buy my supplies from them also.
Monte is the the man to see there for that vintage of 911. Cheers, Scot |

+2 for Chris's German Auto and Truline. They are located next door to each other in Bellevue. Both are very experienced in DE and flat out racing prep. Chris (Powell) heads the PCA technical committee for 1974-1994 911s.
