Parcel shelves
We have just finished production of 1965-68 parcel shelves for the 911/912 cars. We are working on the next parcel shelf from 1969-72 or 1973, and we need some verification since we have had conflicting information. If some of you out there have pictures of the parcel shelves in your cars from 1968 - 1976 we would greatly appreciate them so we can label the parts accordingly on our website. Pelican will soon have them available on their website also. Also we should have stampings for sale of the rear seat bottoms in the next 2 weeks. these would be for 1965-1973 or depending which transmission you have in your car.
thanks Mike Dejonge Restoration Design moving forward |

First of all let me say that I was next to Mike and his 2 sons at the recent swap meet in SoCal. A nicer team would be hard to find. They are dedicated to making Resoration Design a better company with better communiction and more parts, like the one here.
Mike the cut off was in '71. There are vertical lines on the '71 and on back. The best pic I can find is this one where I welded in the correct tray. I wish it was better but you can see the lines. ![]() And I wish your new part was available then! |

Let me add a thunderous "THANK YOU" for moving ahead with restoration parts! Please ask for anything from us that will ease your efforts.
I can confirm Milt's post. I have two 69 cars and one 73 and from my experience, the change in the parcel shelf appeared with the 72 model year--71 being the last time the steep-angled, ribbed shelf and ribbed seat back was used. Beginning in 72 model year, the rear shelf was as shown in Kevin's photo (no ribs), shallower angle, and the seat back had no ribbing. My cars are unavailable to me right now, but I can post any pictures you need upon request. Again, thanks for all your efforts!
