I want to get at this filter to clean it up/replace it if necessary.
Since my standard allen key kit seems to be a bit inadequate for this job, does anybody know what size the plug is for this?

Hey,
I just went through this. You can read about it here : http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59033&highlight=drain+my+tank Or just get a 22mm bolt and two nuts. Jam the nuts together and turn one with a wrench while the head of the bolt is in the fuel tank drain plug. Works great. - Rob |

I used a large hex headed pipe plug. I can't remember if it was 3/4" or 1/2", but it fit well and gave me enough torque to loosen the plug in the bottom of the tank.
My filter screen was spotless, but it gave me peace of mind so it was worth it. |
