Ignitor: last episod

I ordered an Ignitor kit several weeks ago for my Carrera 3.0 (part #1863), and as Imentionned it in this BB, it didn't work. Thanks to Warren and Bill Hoge from Pertronix, I eventually came to the conclusion that i got the wrong kit.

So, Warren took care of me and finally sent me a new kit, part #1867, as one of you adviced me... And it works ! I used to have some backfires, and some "misfirings", and the only way to reduce those problems was to reduce the point gap to an anormal point... With the Ignitor, no more problem, and the really cool point is that the aspect remains stock (see pictures below)...

I know there will remain pro/cons supporters, and I was about to be a "cons" rather than a "pro", but now I'm convinced.

I've had a set in my 73 mechanically injected car for at least 6-8 yrs (it's been so long, I'm a bit fuzzy). Short story.... I've never had the first problem with them, and the best part is I don't worry about replacing or gapping points anymore. They are one of those great "install and forget about" parts like SSI's. I'd recommend them big time. -Doug
