Was this steering wheel upholstered in leather?

Hi,

I don't know anything about Porsche steering wheels, so this may be a newbie question. Is this the original steering wheel for an '80 SC and was it upholstered in leather when it came from the factory?



It is 380mm in diameter and the outside rim consists of a dense dark brown foam. I have no option list of my car, but beside the leather sport seats, the rest of the interior is black vinyl.



At the rim spokes, there is some residue glue which makes me believe the rim was covered. If it was indeed a leather steering wheel I plan to have it re-upholstered.

It was covered in leather from the factory

Both my Pcar steering wheels were leather covered.
