Installing Wiring Loom Bullkhead Connectors

I'm in the process of replacing the burnt out wiring loom in my 69E. I've figured out how to get the circular bulkhead connectors out, but I'm having a hard time getting them installed. Is there a trick? I've tried pushing straight in, and starting one end and working it in, and neither approach has met with much success. I'd be interested in what others have found works.

Thanks! SmileWavy

I use a heat gun on low setting to warm them up. With heat the plastic gets more pliable and you can get them in using a turning motion.

Rubber lube or silicone.

Thanks. Using a combination of both of those approaches the connector slid right in. Thanks!
