Magnet bummer

So I dropped my body working magnets on the dirty floor. Lots of grinding dust. Anyway to clean? Or just a bummer?

Garage
Done that too. Magnets picked up a lot of unseen steel wool and shavings on the floor.

I used an oily rag and wiped in one direction. Oil makes the magnetic surface slicker to wipe away the shavings etc. just make sure to always wipe with a clean section of the rag, shake off and debris into a trash can and repeat.
it’s just slow process but eventually they’ll come clean.

Kind of like walking through weeds and trying to get those tiny little thorny seed pods off your shoe laces and socks.
