Road Trip
Taking a road trip from Vancouver BC to Seaside OR, this coming weekend. Just wondering what the best route to take would be. Also if there are any pelicans on my route that I can contact should I get into trouble it would be appreciated.

I'm jealous. I'm taking a similar trip in late April, from Grays Harbor to Seaside.
Unfortunately, the coast highway breaks up and moves inland way too many times for a really scenic trip. Are you planning on doing any surfing in Seaside? If so, I'm assuming you're aware of the possible tribulations for non-locals to paddle out there.

Would love to do some surfing, but probably not on this trip.
I have never been so I am looking forward to it.

There's going to be a good swell all week long, so The Point will most likely be firing. If you've never seen Seaside Point breaking, prepare to be shocked....nothing like it on Van Island, for sure.
+1 on taking some pics, just be careful the locals don't catch you.

Lots of cool novelty shops and places there on seaside. Kite stores, little mom and pop shops, neat restaurants downtown. It's not a huge place, but fun to visit.
Don't forget THE GOONIE HOUSE! And of course Norma's Ocean Diner where you'll pretty much go om nom nom nom when you have the chowder.
