Hello all,
This might be a dumb question, but here it goes. How do you unfasten the back 2 clips on the air filter housing. Please advise, Paul 88' Carrera |

If you're referring to a 3.2 they are the exact same as those in front. You simply flip them off. Sometimes the can get stuck even after being flipped off. Stretch your hand in and lift them a bit so they won't catch the latch.

You're going to just love getting them clipped back on. Get someone with small hands to help or prepare to make a small blood offering to the Porsche gods .......

Try threading your left arm/hand to the left and behind air flow sensor and lean into the compartment. Looks funny but works. Take your time pulling arm out so as to retain flesh.
Good luck. ---------------- Bob Sauerteig '87 Carrera |

For the top clip I go over the top of the air box. For the bottom one I run my arm between the A/C comp and the oil filter. It's a tight squeeze with the Mahle filter, but not too bad with the OE Porsche one.
