What happens if...
 
I have a set of SSI's with oxygen sensor connection under my MY72 2.4E . What would happen if I leave the hole open? Would it improve sound or destroy the SSI?

It would shoot soot up onto the underside of your car and d. side valve cover. Not sure I'd want that kind of heat in that area.

It would sound like you have an exhaust leak.

it would sound like an exhaust leak because that is what he would have. just get a bung of the correct thread and you'll be fine

the caps for the oil pressure relief valves on the engine case are the same thread.

quiet down the pipes but will make for a hell of an oil leak.
