Fuse box question - '89 Carrera Targa

Fourth fuse from the front, #18, has a yellow fuse & two wires coming from the top, blue/white & light brown. I have another light brown hanging loose that looks like it should go there too. Fuse #17 has no wire attached, and "appears" never to have had one. It (17) has a dot of yellow paint on it.

I can't find anything NOT working. (That's the good news.)

Anyone care to comment on the German engineering thinking that numbers the fuses 1-21 BACK to FRONT.

I think the numbering is configured for when you are hanging over the fuse box from the driver's fender. Then it is left to right.

My SC has different color wires than yours otherwise I would take a picture Your owners manual will tell you what fuses relate to what components.

Also, if you post a pic, folks with the same fuse box can cross reference it against their set up.
