Porsche turbo seats for 1980 sc
Hi
The seats in the picture are for a porsche from 1974 -1980. Does this mean they were in a early1980 car or does the early 1980 car had the seats with different hinges? Last edited by Jvdv23; 02-27-2021 at 03:45 AM.. |

There was an option in 1980 US cars for a full leather and sports interior. Ie the turbo interior. They look to be those seats

They are correct sport seat options for a 1980 911SC or Turbo. They were not standard on the Turbos at any time...many were not ordered with them.

I keep this image handy on my PC for reference. Those seats were used from 74 up to 80. The holy grail of seats are the 81 to 84 version shown:

Porsche changed to the second manual sports seats at the end of the 1980 model year, around May 1980. All of the 1980 Porsche 911 SC Weissach editions had the second style sport seats installed and I've recorded other late 1980 model year 930/911 SC's with the updated edition. You can say the second versions are the holy grail but they are much more common since they were also optioned on 944s. I have the first and second manual versions and the early seats bolters are a unique driving experience not matched by the second versions that have much tamer lower and side bolsters.
