Black SC to the rescue!

There are several reasons why our cars have their engines hanging out behind the rear wheels. One of them must be to come to the rescue of a needy spouse. This morning my 82 SC got my wife to work over snowy and frozen roads, up long steep hills in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
We live in California and enjoy months and months each year of perfect weather. (To those of you living elsewhere, don't pay any mind to our earthquakes, forest fires and the rattlesnakes under the front porch.) But we get winter too, and this year it's come down in buckets and spades. Snowed last night in our little mountain valley. There are steep grades in and out. My wife had to leave her car, an ahem, BMW, at the top of the hills because it was slipping around in the snow. Got a ride home from neighbors. This morning she was beside herself wondering how to get back up the hill.
"Okay," says I. "I'll take you up in the 911."
"You sure," she replies. "Do you think we'll make it?"
All the way up we were planted and steady. But she did ask twice: "Why are you going so fast?"
Nothin' but grins folks, nothin' but grins.
