Help

I just finished my 3.2 engine swap in my 75 targa. Engine runs but have a problem with the clutch or gearbox.
When I depress the clutch and the the car starts to move everything shakes and a nasty sound comes from gearbox or clutch. Its as the gear gets stuck somehow.
Its in 1, 2 and back up gear. When I am in speed there dont seem to be anything. Could I have put the clutch together in a wrong way, or any ideas from you would be great.
Thanks Nikolaj

When you had it apart, did you have the flywheel resurfaced?

Sometimes if you change some components and do not resurface the flywheel, the car will 'shudder', especially in low gears.

Check this thread for ideas - my posting explains how a worn clutch cable, that would not adjust properly (even though it seemed to) caused a violent shudder at initial release (without high revs and slipping the ***** out of the clutch) . . .

clutch making the car shake?

Thanks will try to check clutch cable and mounts.
But when it shakes and if I press the clutch down, then it is like its stuck in gear. Did yours do the same ( Ronnie 930)
