106K miles in 15 minutes!

I know, I know, it's a pretty easy job....
Installed the speedo I bought here (thanks for the sale of the gauge, Mike!), pulled out mine and all lamps and wires with zero tools, just my fingers, put the temporary one in. 15 minutes. Now instead of about 69K miles I'm reading over 175!!
Anyway, easy fix, so now I can keep track of my actual miles (such honesty, lol); gotta replace my odo gear, I'm sure it's in 80 pieces! Shoot, just another project....
...a regular "wrench in the making" here, no doubt.....
Oh, Mark W., if you still need it when I'm done with my repair, 1st in line; otherwise I'll be looking for my $ back from someone and just "turn it over"!
Anyway, a little Sunday "Church" time in the garage....

See my third post; now I am going down that "slope"....but it's been a great ride! Cheers!

Have done the inevitable and proceeded to here with MY speedo, spent 40 minutes so far, IMO getting the bezel off is a PITA, but will not show any abuse after going back on. I am "home free"! The new odo gear is waiting in the wings, ($10 on this site from a friendly seller for sure!)...........and will be done today; have had the requisite beer already! It was much fun when the needle came off (using the "twist back and forth, pulling up gently" method) and spun in my fingers, came off very suddenly, jabbing the "female" part of the needle shaft connection under my fingernail! No damage to the needle, no biggee, just felt like a little Viet Nam torture.....

Done. Complete success! Got the speedo right, added miles to the odo, it's all great. Thanks to all for the advice, but this ain't that easy...however, I did it, so there you are; can't be too tough. Just keep looking around in there, if you go for it, go slow, don't force it. Three thumbs up now...............
