Early car fender supports

Ok, I have a question about the fender supports on my 70T that attach the battery box to the headlight bucket. On the drivers side, the support bracket looks like this.

The top part of the u shaped bracket bolts to a hole in the headlight bucket and stiffens the fender considerably. On the passenger side however.....

....there was no top part to the bracket to attach to the headlight bucket. What gives here? I noticed before dissembling the car that the pass fender seemed to deflect more when leaned on. So, which side has the correct arrangement for this year car?

I have two brackets like the one you have on your drivers side on my '73, should be the same.

Same as Mike on my 73--both brackets have a top and bottom attachment point.

Guess this means I need to find another bracket! I wonder what car the passenger bracket came off of? Does anyone have the proper bracket that they would like to part with?
